Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
The ceremony will be outdoors, so please dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on natural terrain. We recommend layers as mountain weather can change quickly. Think "mountain chic" - nice but practical!
What's the weather like in September?
September in the Colorado mountains is beautiful but can be unpredictable. Daytime temperatures are usually 60-70°F, but it can drop to 40°F in the evening. There's always a chance of afternoon thunderstorms, so bring a light jacket or wrap.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes! Mountain View Lodge has plenty of free parking for all wedding guests. There's also a shuttle service from the main hotels in Aspen if you prefer not to drive.
Can I bring my kids?
We love your little ones, but we've decided to keep our mountain celebration adults-only. We hope this gives you a chance to enjoy a romantic weekend getaway!
What if it rains?
We have a covered pavilion as our backup plan, still with amazing mountain views! Don't worry - we'll still have our dream wedding regardless of weather.
Is the ceremony location accessible?
The ceremony site is accessible via a paved path from the parking area. If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know so we can ensure you're comfortable.
What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive by 3:30 PM for the 4:00 PM ceremony. This gives you time to find parking, get seated, and enjoy the mountain views before we begin.
Will there be transportation from Denver?
We're organizing a charter bus from Denver for guests who prefer not to drive. Details and sign-up information will be sent out with your formal invitation.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We're having an unplugged ceremony, so please keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony itself. Our photographer will capture all the special moments, and you're welcome to take photos during the reception!
Are there activities for the weekend?
Absolutely! We'll have information about local hiking trails, scenic drives, and other mountain activities. We're also planning a casual welcome hike on Friday afternoon for early arrivals.
